In the morning of July 2rd, 2011, the Mozart Class and the Beethoven Class members of Singing Hearts Children’s Choir held a demonstration performance in the media center of Ruijin Community. Over 90 members joined this performance and over 200 guests attended. This activity was aimed at increasing communication and mutual learning for all of the different classes in the Choir, as well as showing the achievements of the past semester. There were two Mozart classes that performed during the demonstration performance. The 1st Mozart Class used a “clean voice” style to present school songs of the Chinese modern singer, Li Shutong. The 2nd Mozart Class adopted a lively visualization and diversified style to present their performance. The Beethoven Class presented a diversified range of works, including old Chinese poems, Chinese traditional folk songs, “Moonlight” and “Jasmine,” and a Western opera piece “Any Dream Will Do.” The Beethoven Class was able to give a strong performance of diversified music, which delivered both emotion and excitement to the audience. As a result of practice and hard work, it was evident that though the demonstration performance, the levels for all Chorus classes improved greatly. This can be attributed to the members’ passion on music and consistent efforts on improvement. The Singing Hearts Children’s Choir is focused on bringing out integrity though music in each member’s heart. |
