"2024 'Special Love' Concert

On the evening of May 12, under dazzling lights, the Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall hosted a successful event titled the "2024 'Special Love' Concert." This charity concert, presented by the Singing Hearts Children's Choir in collaboration with the Shanghai Women Journalists' Choir, has gradually become an indispensable event before Children's Day every year.

During the concert, the children of the Singing Hearts delighted the audience with a song and dance performance of "The Nutcracker Suite," a choir rendition of "Castle in the Sky," captivating scenes from the original Chinese musical "Meng Mu San Qing," along with various musical excerpts and a medley of nursery rhymes. The children's pure and sincere performances on stage touched every member of the audience.

Notably, the concert coincided with Mother's Day. On this special day, the children of Singing Hearts and the female journalists together performed "The Daylily," expressing deep gratitude for maternal love through their heartfelt singing. This song, like a warm current, brought tears to the eyes of many in the audience and warmed everyone's hearts.

Finally, when the theme song "Special Love" was performed, the atmosphere of the concert reached its peak. This song not only perfectly encapsulated the theme of the concert but also made a heartfelt appeal for love and charity.

Soprano singer Wang Yida and young pianist Li Weijie also contributed to the artistic charm of the concert with their outstanding performances.

Over the years, the "Special Love" concert has raised funds to support numerous children's charity projects, such as the "One Egg" project, the Dong Folk Songs Cultural Heritage Project at Xiaohuang Primary School in Guizhou, the endangered wildlife protection project at Fanjing Mountain in Guizhou, and the Teach for China 2.0 initiative. This year, the concert continued its tradition of donating proceeds, after covering costs, to the Han Public Welfare Special Fund of the Shanghai Soong Ching Ling Foundation, pooling small efforts to spread a spirit of charity.

For twelve years, the "Special Love" charity concert has remained true to its original intention, encouraging more people to participate in charitable causes. Thanks to the hard work of every child, parent, and teacher involved, we look forward to seeing you again next year to continue voicing our love!
