We came to Washington,the center of American political and culture. Firstly, the green lawn and white buildings came into view. Then we walked along the Tidal Basin. Along the road, we visited the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial. We witnessed that "I have a dream" could come into reality with the baptism of history.

In the afternoon, we visited the Museum of Art and the White House. The museum collected many famous paintings, such as Monet's Water Lilies, Andy Hall's Marilyn Monroe. These works of art told us the art peak the human pursued in different centuries when we shuttled in the oil paintings and sculpture of United States, France, Italy, Britain and so on.
The last stop was the Washington Cathedral, which is a typical Gothic-style building. We were lucky to hear a mass accompanied by organ and a series of Italian, French and English works from 14th to 16th centuries that were composed by two sopranos and a mezzo-soprano. At the moment, we were looking up at the vault and granite glass. We felt calm and peaceful with the harmony of the chorus. Culture flowed here quietly. I didn’t know whether it would fall into dream tonight.
